Trains from Milan to Como take as little as 40 minutes, making it an easy day trip without renting a car. Spend the afternoon strolling along the waterfront, admiring the colorful lakeside buildings, and soaking up gorgeous mountain views. November is a little quieter and chillier, but that's part of the charm, and you might just find yourself wishing you'd booked an extra night by the lake.
