It's one of my all-time favorite spots for overwater bungalows, and honestly rivals the Maldives at a fraction of the price. We found a four-night overwater bungalow package at Faro del Colibri, a top-rated resort on Panama's Caribbean coast, from $663—an amazing deal considering you'd pay thousands for a flight alone to the iconic Maldives.

*Please note: Bocas del Toro is at an opposite end of the country from Panama City, so you're going to want to consider adding on a bus journey and ferry to get there.
