You Can Experience the Motel from Schitt's Creek

In a nutshell: there's a replica of the Rosebud Motel in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and it's FREE to visit! That said, unless you already happen to be in Hattiesburg, you probably want a little more info before you decide to go.

So before you up and plan your trip all the over to Southern Mississippi, read on to learn all about the place. Even if you don't plan on traveling there, we think it's still worth a read — you might change your mind by the time you're done anyway!

Details

Since the Rosebud name was already taken, the owner's Brandon and Abby Thaxton put the Hattiesburg spin on it, and thus it's known as the Roseburg Motel. The actually filming site from Schitt's Creek is in Ontario, Canada, but that didn't stop the Thaxtons from bringing it down South with a to-a-T accurate replica.

From the very memorable "Schitt's Creek" sign to vivid details such as Moira's wig wall or the motel keychain, any fan of the show deserves a visit. Basically, this replica is the Schitt.

The Roseburg Motel is a part of the Thaxtons' larger project, The Lucky Rabbit — a 15,000 square foot variety store.

Entrance is free, but you're more than likely to find something to buy at The Lucky Rabbit, and we definitely recommend you show some love by doing so. They seem to have everything from vintage sodas to old Volkswagen vans on offer.

Opening hours are 9 am to 6 pm Saturdays, and 11 am to 5 pm Sundays, so don't show up here on a weekday expecting it to be open.
