The U.S. land borders with Mexico and Canada are set to reopen this November for fully vaccinated people, meaning for those individuals that have been sealed off there is a end in sight, using land and ferry crossing points.

Details

The reopening of U.S. borders will mean a new influx of travelers and tourism, marking another milestone in the recovery after the pandemic.

Borders will remain closed for unvaccinated people, and ones like commercial drivers and students who were never banned will need to show proof of vaccination starting January 2022.

While you might need to present a negative coronavirus test on top of your proof of vaccination when arriving from overseas, no testing requirement so far will be required when crossing through land borders.
