The UK Becomes the Latest Country to Launch a 4-Day Workweek Pilot

The 4 Day Workweek UK Campaign pilot scheme has been launched, with up to 30 British companies taking part to see whether workers can maintain 100% productivity for 80% of their time while still receiving 100% pay.

Workers will get one day off per week (not necessarily Friday) to see if their productivity stays the same.

The UK trial will run alongside other pilot programs in countries like Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Similar studies have shown positive results! When Microsoft trialed a four-day workweek with no drop in pay for their Japan office, productivity went up by 40%!

Additionally, a legislation seeking to implement a 4-day workweek in the U.S. was presented last year by Rep. Mark Takano.

What do you think, Pirates, could you get all your work done in four days instead of five?

In your opinion, would this work for the US? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. We would love to hear from you!
