The two airlines announced on Monday their plans to unify as one carrier, to better serve their customers and complement each other's flying routes.
There are not a lot of details yet of what the merger will mean for their users or under what name it will function, but once combined, the company will fly to more than 145 destinations in 19 countries and become the fifth-largest American carrier.
