Ahoy Pirates, we like to keep you up-to-date on the lastest travel-related news. We know you must be itching to travel again, just like us. Good news, last Friday The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that any citizens who have received the COVID-19 vaccine can travel safely within the United States. They also announced that fully vaccinated tourists will no longer be required to get tested before or after travel unless they are required by the destination.

Those who are fully vaccinated are still recommended by the CDC to comply with existing health and safety protocols, such as wearing a mask in public places and social distancing.

What Does This Mean for International Travel?

Good question. Whether or not you will need to be tested in order to travel fully depends on what is required by the destination, so it is always best to double check what that entails before you book your trip or travel anywhere. Vaccinated travelers will not be required to self-quarantine after returning home, unless state or local government says otherwise.

Travelers arriving in the U.S. will still be required to present a negative COVID-19 test result before they board their flight and another three to five days after returning.

If you're looking to fly within the states or abroad, we've outlined the top airlines that are committed to your safety HERE.

What If I Haven't Received the Vaccine Yet?

No worries if you're still waiting, Pirates. However, the CDC advises all those who have yet to receive the vaccine to refrain from traveling locally and internationally until they are able to get vaccinated.
