From February 7th Morocco is Now Open to International Travelers — Here Are the Entry Rules
Ahoy pirates,
It seems that global travel restrictions are beginning to relax a bit. Borders for the Philippines, Thailand, Great Britain, Norway, and now Morocco are set to re-open this month!
The Moroccan border closure, which has been in place since November 29th in response to the Omicron variant, will be lifted and tourists will be allowed to travel to the country again from February 7, 2022. This was announced by the Moroccan government at a press conference in late January.
Morocco is classified as a level 4 on the US travel advisory website, but the number of infections has been falling and about 71% of the population is fully vaccinated.
Here are the entry requirements
Proof of vaccination (last dose no more than 6 months ago, otherwise boosted)
As well as a PCR test (not older than 48 hours upon departure)
A travel health form needs to be filled out, printed, and signed before arrival
Rapid tests and random PCR tests are also carried out upon entry. A positive test means that you have to go into self-quarantine.
