Let's begin with a little background history: they say that during a visit to his sister Donatella, Gianni saw this building from the 30s, fell in love with the sculpture of Aphrodite that presides over the entrance, and bought it. After a renovation of more than 30 million dollars, he lived there until his murder in 1997, which took place at the Villa's gates.
It was put up for sale after the incident, but finally, it was transformed into the luxury hotel it is today, respecting the essence of the designer and the Versace house.
The Hotel is composed of several suites, all different from each other, with a breathtaking Baroque design. Some even have fresco paintings, cared for and restored by an artist since its inauguration.
Nor should we forget its swimming pool. Photographed ad nauseam, it has appeared in films, series, video clips; they call it the pool of a thousand tiles. The tiles were imported from Italy, and most of them, are made of 24-carat gold.
As for the restaurant, its chef specializes in Italian cuisine and is open to everyone. You can enjoy a meal there even if you are not staying at the Hotel. The Hotel also organizes events, such as its famous New Year's Eve party.
