Looking for a unique way to get around Switzerland? How about a scenic train ride that takes you through the Alps and stops at a cheese factory and then a chocolate factory—you'll get to feast on two delicious items that Switzerland makes best!

The Chocolate & Cheese Train runs until 29 September 2024. Then will be back up and running in May 2025.

How it Works

The scenic train journey starts in the beautiful city of Montreux, Switzerland which lies beside Lake Geneva.

The train is located at the top deck of Montreux's train station and houses both modern and antique-styled cars. Which car you're allocated to is dependent on your ticket.

While on the train you'll be treated to chocolate pastries and an option of coffee or hot chocolate. Along the route, you'll get stunning views while passing through the Alpine regions of Switzerland. The train stops in the mountainous village of Gruyère where you'll get off and visit the Gruyère cheese factory and be able to explore the village following the factory tour.

You'll then hop on a luxury coach bus and drive the remainder of the way to Cailler Chocolate Factory in Broc.

After your tour at the chocolate factory, you'll grab the bus to the nearest train station and then hop on a train back to Montreux.
