Stay in these gorgeous overwater bungalows on a private island in Bocas del Toro, Panama from $63 per person. This island can accommodate up to 16 guests with six private cabanas built on stilts above the water and connected by a wrap-around dock. Enjoy unlimited free use of kayaks and a delicious tropical breakfast with coffee provided each morning at no extra cost.
This self-sufficient mangrove island on the northern Caribbean coast of Panama is also home to the Monkey Island Foundation where 15 rescued monkeys live and are able to run freely around the island. All guests are required to be aged 12+ because of this.
During the day, guests are able to go snorkeling, play volleyball, go kayaking (free of charge), do yoga, swing over the water, or relax on the hammock terrace. At night, the cabanas are surrounded by bio-luminescent ocean waters—a spectacle in itself.
Boat transportation to the island is included for an additional fee and follows a set timetable around standard check-in and check-out times. Breakfast is included in the prices and is prepared on the property. There's also a lobster garden where guests can learn how to catch and prepare delicious lobster meals at an additional price.
