Huasteca, mexico, potosina

This Isn't Southeast Asia...This is Mexico 🤩 🌴

At first glance, it may look like Thailand or Laos with its stunning cascading waterfalls and turquoise rivers, but you'd be happy to know that this hidden gem is a lot easier and cheaper to reach because it's in Mexico. Below, we've provided tips on how to get to this region of Mexico, along with our recommendation for a bucket-list hotel stay.

How to Get Here

Huasteca Potosina is a national park region in central Mexico that hosts some of the most spectacular waterfalls in the country and lush jungle to explore. The cheapest way to get here would be to fly into Mexico City and rent a car and drive five hours.

Alternatively, the most convenient way to reach Huasteca Potosina is to fly into Tampico which is only an hour and a half drive from the national park area. However, flights are going to cost you more than double to fly to this airport. We've still provided the best value flights to Tampico below.
