Skytrax, a London-based rating agency established in 1989, has been evaluating the quality and service standards of airlines and airports since 1999. The 2024 edition of their prestigious annual World Airline Awards has just been released. This year, Qatar Airways has claimed the top spot, displacing Singapore Airlines from first place. It is worth noting, however, that the rankings have faced criticism for their lack of transparency.

In addition to the two well-known rankings for airlines, there is another evaluation in which the criteria and therefore also the results differ greatly from those previously known. This top list was compiled by the baggage service provider "Bounce". Points were awarded and weighted by a jury of experts. The criteria are primarily based on characteristics that are of great importance to passengers in their everyday flying lives, such as:
Punctuality
Flight cancellations
Meals
In-flight entertainment
Seating comfort
Friendliness of the staff
Baggage allowance
