The Service

Some of you might already have heard of CLEAR, a membership-based service similar to TSA Pre-Check.

CLEAR helps its user get through security faster by scanning the bio-metrics in their own designated security lines, making for a faster and easier screening process.

Membership for this service goes for $189; however, they have a free, reservation-based option currently available in 13 airports across North America and a handful in Europe.

How to Use It

The reservation-based service is free and has its own lane available in several airports.

  1. Book - Search for your flight, add the number of passengers for the reservation and find a time that works for you.

  2. Confirm - You will receive a QR code with your email confirmation.

  3. Go - A staff member will scan your code and guide you to your designated lane.

Important Details

  1. The Reserve lane is different from the regular CLEAR one; if you are confused, ask a staff member where to go.

  2. You can make a reservation for up to 10 people, but all need to show together when using the service.

  3. Reservations have a grace period of 20 minutes before and after the given time, so there's no need to worry if you arrive a little early or a bit late.
