Iceland Is Opening Up a New Geothermal Lagoon Next Month!

Laugarás Lagoon is a two-story lagoon that's located within Iceland's iconic Golden Circle driving route. The lagoon overlooks the Hvítá River in the town of Selfoss.

Like the Blue Lagoon and Sky Lagoon, Laugarás Lagoon features geothermal waters, a sauna experience, and swim-up bars for grabbing drinks. Unique to Laugaras is a cascading waterfall, inspired by the many natural waterfalls found throughout Iceland. Guests can also unwind in a secluded grotto pool, take a dip in the cold plunge, or relax in a peaceful forest pool surrounded by nature.

There will also be Ylja restaurant on the property serving two-course day menus, as well as, options for group menus and evening menus. You can check out the full menus here.

You can make reservations now on the Laugarás Lagoon website for bookings from August 15th, 2025. There are several experience options to choose from;
