October is now here, and as the weather begins to shift, we can't help but get excited for the most wonderful time of the year, Halloween! We've conjured up a bewitching selection of Five Spooky & Affordable Airbnbs that will transport you to a realm where Halloween magic reigns supreme. Each of the properties listed below play homage to some of our favorite Halloween films and have a more themed approach rather than a real-life haunting approach. This Beetlejuice Airbnb in California
Don't dare say "Beetlejuice" three times... This cool Victorian-style house got a makeover from a stagecraft and costume whiz. Every room rocks a spookily magical vibe, and the main hangout area plays homage to Beetlejuice. They've also decked out other spots with indoor camping and a vintage 1920s feel. The rates are a steal, kicking off at just $106 a night. You can crash with four buddies in four bedrooms – it fits up to five people in total.
The Most Epic Harry Potter-Themed Airbnb in Florida
Prepare to be swept off your feet into a realm of wizarding wonder at this Florida Airbnb. The dining room is a replica of the grand hall complete with levitating candles and an expansive wooden table that beckons for a hearty feast. The rooms mimic the Hogwarts dorm rooms as well as a Hogwarts Express-themed bed, and even a cupboard under the stairs for additional guests. Although, the coolest part of the whole stay has to be the interactive hallway that replicates Diagon Alley. Rates turn out to be not that bad when the max number of 16 people stay, starting at $639 a night. However, it should be noted that a minimum of four nights must be booked and this price point does not include Airbnb taxes and fees.
Haunted Mansion-Themed Airbnb in California
This Airbnb is a completely interactive experience with special FX equipment controlling the sounds and motions of the props inside. Guests tell the tales of the wailing ghosts that they encounter during their stay. Many people rave that this experience is quite similar to the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland and follows the Disney film itself quite well. This accommodation can fit up to eight guests and we found rates from $692 a night, not including Airbnb taxes and fees.
A Witches & Warlocks-Themed Airbnb in Salem, MA
Salem isn't nicknamed the "Witch City" for nothing and this Airbnb offers the perfect stay for those wanting to explore and embrace its haunting past. Filled with all things Halloween, The kitchen is filled with Halloween memorabilia, the hallways offer a haunted vibe, and each room has a different Halloween theme, such as the Raven's Nest and the Pumpkin Patch. This Airbnb is located in the city center and it fits up to six guests. We found rates from $298 a night over the next two months. Prices skyrocket in October.
A Wednesday Addams-Themed Stay at This All-Black Airbnb in Illinois
This Airbnb has a black interior and exterior to channel your inner goth. With wacky furniture touches such as a "Thing" prop, and images of Wednesday herself throughout the house, you're sure to feel like you've stepped into Wednesday's dark lair. Rates for a stay here start at $175 a night accommodating four guests. Two more guests can be added for an additional charge. As always, the price does not include Airbnb taxes and fees.
