There's a sleeper train in Canada that will take you to Jasper, Canada, in northern Alberta. Jasper offers scenery similar to what you'd find in Banff with vibrant turquoise lakes and Rocky peaks, but is a bit less crowded.

The above main CTAs are for a 1-day train journey on May 22nd from Vancouver to Jasper for $157 and a stay at the Tonquin Inn in Jasper on May 23rd from $146. We found cheaper train options in June, but hotel prices skyrocket during the peak summer months, so we recommend taking advantage of both the great train rates and hotel rates in late May.
