As you might know, there are five days for free entrance to the entire US National Park system in 2023. The next one is on August 4th for the Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act, and it just so happens that there are lots of great rates near many of the parks for the nights of August 3rd and August 4th.
So you can go see the parks for free, and then stay at a hotel for pirate prices. That's a win-win situation, folks!
