Anyone who wants their dog to accompany them on every trip, and who has the necessary cash, might be interested in the offer from the new airline BARK Air. There, the four-legged friend is the focus: instead of flying in a bag between the legs or even in the cargo hold, dogs fly first class.

Even before boarding, your pup can relax, because before the flight they go to the airline's waiting lounge and are greeted with treats, of course. According to Bark Air, there should be no more than 10 four-legged friends + owners on the plane itself, and there are also drinks, snacks, and even onboard entertainment which includes videos of squirrels for the dogs.

Of course, that comes at a price. For flights within the USA (currently: New York - Los Angeles) you pay around $6,000 USD. Long-haul flights from New York to London cost around $8,000 USD. Both prices apply to one-way flights. In addition to the two routes, more, including long-haul ones, are to be added in the future.

There are no size or breed restrictions for the animals, but passengers under 18 years of age are not allowed to fly. It is important that the dogs have a current vaccination certificate, a rabies vaccination, a microchip, and for international destinations carry proof of tapeworm treatment.
