This year marks the 11th year since the annual Boise Potato Drop came about. A night filled with local vendors and charities, music performances, a ski and snowboarding exhibition, and lots more... ending with an 18-foot long, 15-foot tall, 10-foot wide, and 3,000 lb glowing potato slowly being lowered and fireworks setting off around it at the stroke of midnight.

Every year, the Potato Drop supports local nonprofits raising funds to prevent eviction and homelessness,encourage a better future for at-risk school-aged children through music, and provide to the Idaho Foodbank.
CEO and founder Dylan Cline wants to encourage folks of all backgrounds to come together and just have some fun and get a laugh about a giant potato dropping from the sky.
Last year, the Potato Drop was picked up by major media outlets, such as the Time Square Alliance Partnership through CNN and their global broadcast.
