New Zealand Is Dropping Its COVID Testing Requirements to Enter Sooner than Expected
It's been a huge waiting game for those hoping to visit New Zealand, but borders reopened on May 2nd. Now, there's even more good news, with pre-departure Covid tests being dropped for all arrivals.

It was announced on the New Zealand government website that pre-departure Covid tests for all international arrivals are ending on June 21st, as part of its 5-step border-opening plan.
In a statement, the government said: “The challenges pre-departure tests pose to visitors are now no longer outweighed by the public health benefits."
What Does This Mean?
If your flight departs to New Zealand after 11:59 pm on June 20th, you will not need any pre-departure Covid test to gain entry to the country.
Do I Need Anything Else to Get into New Zealand?
Yes, you still need to be fully vaccinated and take two lateral flow tests, one on the day you land and one in five/six days after.
