Weekend 2 of Coachella 2026 kicks off April 17, and if you're heading to Indio, there's a lot to look forward to and a few things worth knowing before you go. The lineup is one of the strongest in years, the livestream is bigger than ever, and the housing situation around the festival has been genuinely chaotic. Here's everything you need: the full schedule, the Airbnb scam breakdown, and how to make the most of your weekend in the desert.
This year's headliners have been driving ticket demand since the lineup dropped, and for good reason.

Sabrina Carpenter tops the bill Friday in her Coachella headlining debut. Justin Bieber headlines Saturday in one of his biggest performances in years. And Karol G closes out Sunday as the first Latina artist to headline the festival. Her Weekend 1 set was already being called one of the most visually stunning shows Coachella has ever seen.
Anyma also headlines the midnight slot both nights with the world premiere of Æden, a new live show blending science fiction aesthetics with ancient mythology. If you've never seen Anyma live, this is the one.
Beyond the headliners, the depth of the lineup is serious across all three days:
Friday: The xx, Disclosure, Teddy Swims, Ethel Cain, Turnstile, KATSEYE, Lykke Li, Moby, Sexyy Red, Gordo, Groove Armada
Saturday: The Strokes, GIVĒON, Jack White, David Byrne, Nine Inch Noize, Labrinth, PinkPantheress, Royel Otis, Armin van Buuren x Adam Beyer
Sunday: Young Thug, Laufey, Major Lazer, FKA twigs, BIGBANG, Iggy Pop, Wet Leg, CLIPSE, Little Simz, Kaskade, Fatboy Slim
A few lineup changes from the original poster worth knowing: Foster the People moved from Friday to Sunday, Nine Inch Noize moved from Friday to Saturday, and Worship moved from Sunday to Saturday. Lambrini Girls and Solomun are no longer on the bill.
Set times for Weekend 2 mirror Weekend 1 closely. Gates open at 1pm each day, with music running until around 1am Friday and Saturday and midnight Sunday.
Friday highlights: Sabrina Carpenter on the Coachella Stage at 9:05pm. Teddy Swims at 5:30pm, The xx at 7pm, Disclosure on the Outdoor Theatre at 10:35pm, Ethel Cain on Mojave at 10:35pm, Sexyy Red closing the Sahara at 12:05am, and Gordo running the Yuma tent from 11:15pm.
Saturday highlights: Justin Bieber on the Coachella Stage at 11:25pm. Jack White on Mojave at 3pm, The Strokes at 9pm, GIVĒON at 7pm, David Byrne on the Outdoor Theatre at 10:20pm, Nine Inch Noize on the Sahara at 8pm, and Armin van Buuren x Adam Beyer closing the Yuma from 11pm.
Sunday highlights: Karol G on the Coachella Stage at 9:55pm. Young Thug at 7:50pm, Major Lazer at 6:10pm, Laufey on the Outdoor Theatre at 8:40pm, FKA twigs on Mojave at 8:45pm, BIGBANG on the Outdoor Theatre at 10:30pm, and Kaskade closing the Sahara from 10:45pm.
The full livestream is free on YouTube across seven stages.
Worth noting: the Yuma stage wasn't streamed during Weekend 1 but will be for Weekend 2.
In the days leading up to Weekend 1, a wave of attendees reported last-minute Airbnb cancellations, including bookings that had been made months in advance. In some cases, the same listings appeared to go back online within hours at much higher prices. One creator said they paid $29,000 for their original stay, only to rebook for more than $83,000.
Prices climbed across the board. Even basic options like Motel 6 were going for around $600 a night, while a single Friday stay at a JW Marriott was listed above $2,400.
There were also reports of outright scams. Some attendees arrived to find their rental didn’t exist at all. In one case, a group ended up at a budget hotel after spending thousands on what turned out to be a fake listing.
Airbnb says it hasn’t seen a notable increase in cancellations and points to its existing policies, including cancellation fees, blocked calendars, and rules against relisting at higher prices. The company also noted that some of the complaints circulating online couldn’t be verified because there was no record of a booking.
The reality seems to fall somewhere in the middle. Some cancellations were real and likely driven by pricing. Some were clearly fraudulent. And some claims are hard to confirm. With Weekend 2 approaching, the same risks are still in play for anyone heading out.
If you haven't locked down accommodation yet, here's what actually matters:
Only book through Airbnb's official platform and pay within the app. Any host requesting payment outside the platform is an immediate red flag.
Check your host's review history carefully. New profiles with few or no reviews are a real risk this close to a sold-out festival.
Screenshot everything the moment you book — your confirmation, the listing, the host's profile. If something disappears, you'll have a record.
Look at VRBO and Booking.com as alternatives. Hosts sometimes cancel Airbnb reservations to rebook on other platforms and sidestep Airbnb's cancellation penalties.
Have a geographic backup. Palm Springs, Palm Desert, and Cathedral City are all reasonable drives from the Empire Polo Club in Indio and worth having on your radar if your first choice falls through.
If your reservation gets canceled once you're already there, contact Airbnb support immediately and start searching for alternatives at the same time. Don't wait for a resolution before you start looking.
A few things that'll save you time and energy once you're on the grounds:
The Sahara Tent is far from the Main Stage. Getting between these two locations can take 10 to 20 minutes at peak hours, so plan your must-see sets with travel time built in.
Temperatures in the Indio desert drop fast after dark, and what feels fine at 4pm can be genuinely cold by midnight, so bring a real layer.
The Coachella app lets you build a custom schedule and share it with your group, which is worth doing before you lose cell service in the crowd.
Pick a physical meetup spot ahead of time so you can find your friends if you get separated.
Shuttle passes are worth looking into if you're driving from outside Indio. Parking and traffic near the Empire Polo Club at peak hours is not the kind of problem you want to solve in real time.
Weekend 2 starts April 17, and if Weekend 1 set the bar, this one has every reason to clear it. Book somewhere you can verify exists, download the app, and bring a jacket. The desert is waiting.
Weekend 2 runs April 17 to 19, 2026 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Gates open at 1pm each day.
Sabrina Carpenter headlines Friday, Justin Bieber headlines Saturday, and Karol G closes Sunday. All three perform both weekends. Anyma also headlines the midnight slot with the world premiere of Æden.
Yes, some are real. Guests reported last-minute cancellations with listings reappearing at higher prices, and some listings turned out to be outright fake. Book only through official platforms, pay within the app, and screenshot your confirmation immediately after booking.
Contact Airbnb support immediately. They offer 24/7 assistance for rebooking or refunds. Start searching for alternatives at the same time rather than waiting for resolution. Palm Springs and Palm Desert are solid fallback areas.
Yes. The livestream is free on YouTube across seven stages for both weekends. The Yuma stage will be included in the Weekend 2 stream for the first time. YouTube's multiview feature lets you watch up to four stages simultaneously.
Foster the People moved from Friday to Sunday, Nine Inch Noize moved from Friday to Saturday, and Worship moved from Sunday to Saturday. Lambrini Girls and Solomun are no longer performing. Jack White was added as a last-minute Saturday set on the Mojave Stage.
General admission resale was running above $5,000 and VIP passes above $10,000 with fees as of Weekend 1. Check StubHub and the official Coachella waitlist for current availability.
Sunscreen and a hat for daytime are non-negotiable. A real jacket for after dark matters more than most people expect. Desert temperatures drop fast once the sun goes down. Comfortable shoes over stylish ones by day three, every time.
