The Criteria for Bookings on These Dates

Anyone trying to make a reservation on the platform during the 4th of July and Memorial Day Weekend will need to follow these criteria:

  • Guest without a history of positive reviews on Airbnb hoping to make one-night reservations during those dates will not be able to book entire home listings.

  • Getting closer to the 4th of July, Airbnb will implement stricter rules on local or last-minute reservations for individuals without a history of positive reviews hoping to make two-nights reservations.

  • The company will also introduce an anti-parties attestation for guests making local reservations in which they will need to declare their understanding that Airbnb bans parties, and they might face legal actions if found breaking this rule.

  • Guests that already have records of positive reviews in their profiles will not need to be subject to these restrictions.

  • These criteria will apply on both dates to bookings within the US, including Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands.
