These iconic yellow cubes can only be found in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The phenomenal houses were designed by Piet Blom in the concept of space optimization. The architect tilted the cube of a traditional house 45 degrees and rested it on a hexagonal pylon. The whole project is supposed to resemble a forest — each house is a tree and all of them form a forest. Pretty cool, huh?
And you know what's even better? You can now rent one of the houses for a month!
These accommodations are a real attraction for anyone who is interested in architecture. Cube House is located in the center of Rotterdam, a few steps from the Markthal, the harbor, and the Blaak metro station. There are a total of 38 houses of this type.
In addition to comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms, guests have at their disposal a fully equipped kitchen and a large living room. In addition, two bathrooms with a bathtub and other necessities such as TV or WiFi, tea, coffee and you can even count breakfast and Dutch stroopwafels!
There are a lot of stairs in the house, so the owners warn that this may be a problem for the elderly and families with children. Up to 6 adults can stay here. Interested in staying here? Click on the button below!
