If you're familiar with the film or book "Into the Wild", you probably know the story of Christopher McCandless, his life outside of modern society, and his journey in search of total harmony with nature.
At the end of the story the white and green bus, in which Chris spent the last days of his life, became famous to the point of becoming a real place of pilgrimage for people around the world. Unfortunately, as this story became increasingly popular, many travelers have gone in search of this legendary place. Sometimes even completely neglecting the dangers hidden in the wilderness in this region of the world, including the Teklanika river for example, which unfortunately has cost the lives of some adventurers.
After multiple accidents and the need to regularly call in rescuers to save reckless and unprepared hikers, the decision was made to move the bus by the US military last Thursday, and kept in a secure, secret location.
It's possible that the new location will be released in the future, but nothing has been decided to date. We will have to wait to know if it will be possible to see the beloved bus again one day.
