Hold the throne! We've told you before that Northern Ireland served as a filming location for many iconic scenes in HBO's Game of Thrones, but did you know that you could actually go glamping at Winterfell? Try not to lose your heads—we know how cool this is.
Wait ... Like, The Winterfell?
Yes, the Winterfell. Or at least Castle Ward, which served as the real-life filming location for the Starks' ancestral fortress. It's located about 40 minutes from Belfast, or two hours from Dublin (so you can drive there about as fast as a raven can fly the entire length of Westeros).
What's Included?
Your package includes a night in a glamping pod in the forest surrounding Winterfell. You'll also get an archery lesson in the same spot where they filmed the archery scene in the show's first-ever episode, and a bicycle tour to filming locations in the area. And to help you really fit in, you'll get to borrow costumes and swords.
Want to add on some extras? You can request to meet two of the actual direwolves from the show, book a boat tour or axe throwing lesson, or find out when the castle's next themed feast will be.
How Much Does It Cost?
The glamping experience costs about three gold dragons—or around $333 USD—per couple. That breaks down to $167 per person.
Game Of Thrones Glamping Timeframe: 26. Nov. 2020 - 29. Jun. 2021
