Deals to Get You to the Polls this 2020 Election

A deal by , 26. Oct. 2020 10:52 am

Election Day is almost here and while more than 50 million people have already voted, there is still a huge percentage of people who haven't. Because this election is too important to sit out, rental car companies like Hertz and rideshares like Lyft and Uber are offering major deals to voters who might otherwise not be able to make it to the polls.

Hertz

For those that don't have access to public transportation or don’t feel public transport is safe enough, they will be able to drive themselves to the polls with Hertz's "Drive the Vote" campaign. To make sure that everyone feels as though they can safely vote, Hertz is offering one free extra rental day when you book two or more days and pick it up either on November 2nd or 3rd. The deal is available at thousands of Hertz locations around the US. Reserve HERE with the code 210350 to get your free extra day.

Since you have to book for two or more days to get the deal, we recommend making the most of voting and pair it with a small road trip or getaway.

Lyft

Don't have a license or can't drive? No problem! Lyft believes that everyone has the "Ride to Vote" and is also helping people get to the polls on Election Day by offering 50% off one ride up to $10 to any polling location or dropbox using the code 2020VOTE. The discount offer also includes Lyft scooters and Lyft-operated bike shares.

Uber

Similarly, Uber is also offering ride discounts with their "Get Out the Vote" promo. On Election Day, users can use the Uber app to find their nearest polling location and receive 50% off round-trip rides to and from the polls up to $7 each way. If you get hungry waiting in a long polling line, you might just be in luck. Uber Eats is partnering with Pizza to the Polls to deliver free food from over 180 food trucks in 25 different cities.
