It seems as though Harry Potter will forever remain one of the most beloved series created, and while we haven't found any good floo powder or portkey deals recently, we have put together this list of filming locations you can actually visit from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts movies!
Many of these locations are in the United Kingdom. Since we're always finding great deals on flights to London, you may be able to get a little Hogwarts in your life sooner than you think. We've picked out 10 locations—one for every film set in the Harry Potter universe so far!
Glenfinnan Viaduct – Scotland
Appeared In: Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, & Goblet of Fire
One of the most iconic setpieces from the films (like, that actually exists), the Glenfinnan Viaduct doubles as part of the Hogwarts Express route between London and Hogsmeade. You can even ride The Jacobite steam train over the viaduct!
Alnwick Castle – Northumberland, England
Appeared In: Sorcerer's Stone & Chamber of Secrets
Just slightly younger than Hogwarts itself, Alnwick Castle (or parts of it, at least) has been around since the 11th century. Used for some exterior shots in the first two films, its biggest scene came during Harry's first broomstick lesson in Sorcerer's Stone.
Lambeth Bridge – London, England
Appeared In: Prisoner of Azkaban
No, it's not London Bridge, although it is a bridge in London. The iconic bridge near Parliament is actually called Lambeth Bridge, and it showed up during Harry's wild Knight Bus ride through London in Prisoner of Azkaban.
Millennium Bridge – London, England
Appeared In: Half-Blood Prince
This iconic pedestrian bridge is brutally destroyed by Death Eaters in the beginning of Half-Blood Prince, but don't worry—that was all movie magic. The bridge payed homage to its Harry Potter connection with a display of giant lit-up wands in late 2018.
Leadenhall Market – London, England
Appeared In: Sorcerer's Stone
While the Leadenhall Market has been around for about 700 years, its iconic roof was constructed in the 19th century. It appeared as the entrance to Diagon Alley in the first film, and is probably the closest thing to a wizard shopping center that travelers can visit.
St. Pancras – London, England
Appeared In: Chamber of Secrets
While Platform 9 3/4 is located in King's Cross Station (both in Harry's magical world and real life), the beautiful brick facade seen from Ron's flying Ford Anglia actually belongs to St. Pancras.
Forest of Dean – England
Appeared In: Deathly Hallows, Part 1
The oh-so-spooky Forest of Dean only appeared in the second to last Harry Potter movie, but its influence (especially from the fantastically named Puzzlewood) can be seen in the set design of the Forbidden Forest.
Oxford University – Oxford, England
Appeared In: Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, & Goblet of Fire
Several of Oxford's colleges stood in for Hogwarts throughout the films. A staircase in Christ Church College served as Harry, Ron, and Hermione's entrance into Hogwarts, while the world-famous Bodleian Library doubled as the Hogwarts Library (you'll need a private tour to see it, though).
Leavesden Studios – Hertfordshire, England
Appeared In: All films
The Warner Bros. Studio in Leavesden was the base for every Harry Potter film, and is now home to a pretty rad walking tour. You can walk down the Diagon Alley set, pass the real Hogwarts Express, sip on butterbeer, and check out hundreds of props from the movies.

St. George's Hall – Liverpool, England
Appeared In: Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them
Although the first Fantastic Beasts movie was set in 1920s New York City, filming actually took place in the United Kingdom. Liverpool's beloved St. George's Hall made several appearances in the film.
