Alright people, this opportunity is the cat's meow! While scouring the seven seas and Google chrome for the best deals, we happened upon this little number. On the Greek island of Syros, in the Aegean Sea, there's a cat sanctuary looking for someone who wants to live in Greece and spend their days playing and caring for 55 cats.
The caretaker is hoping to find the perfect person to care for the sanctuary while he's away. What does the job actually look like? You'll be working part-time (about 4 hours a day) with the rescued cats, feeding and giving medications. You'll need a license as well, in case a cat needs to get to the vet. BONUS POINTS if you're a trained veterinarian nurse!
What's in it for you? A salary AS WELL as accommodation. Plus the accommodation just happens to be a semidetached tiny house with it’s own garden overlooking the Aegean Sea! They're requiring a minimum of six months, with an introduction month in October. The introduction will be 2-4 weeks unpaid, but you'll have the free accommodation still while training.
Paid work will start on 1 November 2018 and any applications need to be sent to [email protected]. Skype interviews will be conducted at the end of August. For more information, visit the association's Facebook page here!
Syros belongs to the Cyclades archipelago in the Aegean Sea. It's a small island where tourism is lower than crowded hotspots like Mykonos and Santorini. But just because it isn't as popular as some other islands, does NOT mean there's a lack of excellent cuisine and dreamy beaches .
