Just one week into October and we can’t seem to get enough of these spooky destinations across the country. One in particular that caught our eye is the Jerome Grand Hotel in Arizona. Originally this building served as an insane asylum and hospital, but was later destroyed in a freak mining accident back in 1926. It has since been rebuilt and turned into a hotel, currently thriving as a quaint accommodation for people passing through the Verde Valley.
The former asylum–turned–hotel has managed to achieve glowing reviews (4.5/5 on TripAdvisor) despite its haunted connotation. Over the years, several guests who have stayed in this hotel have reported ghostly accounts including voices, noises, and alleged sightings. In recent years, two (entirely unconnected) psychics visited the hotel and both picked up on activity from what seems to have been a "head nurse". Pretty bizarre!
It's hard to put a price on a chance to experience supernatural encounters, while enjoying a cozy slumber in a historic spot. Starting from $165 per night, you can check out this mystery stay and see for yourself if the legends are true! Click HERE to reserve your room over on the Jerome Hotel website.
