    We found excellent year round rates, starting at $175 per night ($87.50 per person) for the bird nest which fits two people. Weekend dates tend to book six months in advance so keep that in mind when looking for availability.

Big Sur Glamping On The Most Gorgeous Coastline In California

Located in the heart of Big Sur along Highway 1, the peaceful beauty of Treebones resort will take your breath away. The resort as a wonderful 4.5/5 rating on TripAdvisor plus a Certificate of Excellence. While there you can make your stay as primitive or as luxurious as you desire, but the nice thing is that all accommodations include the use of the resort facilities like their award-winning restaurant, sushi bar, spa, heated pool, hot tub, and outdoor bar with views of the Pacific ocean.

The cheapest option is to book a simple campsite. Prices start from $95 with a two-night minimum stay and you have to bring your own tent, sleeping bags, etc. This is a simple but beautiful option.

Then there are the nests. These unusual wood-art structures were created & built by Big Sur artist Jayson Fann. These start from $175 and you still need to bring your own sleeping bags, although the woven nests come with a full-size futon pad inside.

Moving up the scale of luxury are the Mongolian-style yurts. These start from $320 and have comfortable beds with lines and ocean views. The yurts have redwood view decks so you can enjoy the sunset.

Finally, are the autonomous tents beginning at $595. The tent includes a king size bed, gas fireplace, en suite bathroom with a claw foot shower and composting (flushable) toilet. This is the ultimate luxury off-the-grid living you could enjoy during your stay.
